Paternity

Paternity actions are filed for a variety of reasons.  Such actions are used to legally determine paternity and set child support.  In addition, they can be used to establish parental rights and responsibilities including a determination of whether there will be joint or sole custody and the amount of time each parent has with the child.  The sensitive nature of paternity actions calls for an attempt to settle the issues in a respectful, appropriate and private manner, which I strive to do.
