Post-Judgment
Post-judgment actions are filed for a number of reasons and can include a variety of requests. Sometimes one of the parties is not following through on what was ordered or he or she agreed to do. In such cases, it may be necessary to ask that the court hold that party in contempt because of his or her failure to comply with a court order. In other cases, circumstances may have changed since the order was entered and it no longer meets the needs of one of the parties or the children. Post-judgment actions can include a variety of requests such as asking that the other party be held in contempt for not following a court order or that he or she has not taken a requested action as well as revisions to support, custody and placement orders.
